Nameless

I call this nameless because, well, I have no idea what it is. Therefore this detailed piece of metal remains without a name. It was on an ancient building, and what I find most fascinating is that there are fingerprints on the metal. Those fingerprints are hundreds of years old. Amazing!

Old Man.

Not a REAL old man.
Though I'm sure a man similar to this once existed.
...he just wasn't spitting out a constant stream of water in a garden somewhere in NY ;)

Love the texture of this stone. So beautiful!

Beautifully Random

Two shots of things that weren't supposed to be there.

This was the only flower in sight, and the only one I've ever seen like it, anywhere!

Spicket to nowhere? This was an 8 story parking garage and the spicket is turned towards the 8 story drop!

Random raw images I found on my computer today

Some of these are real oldies - up to 3 years ago - but still goodies! Its kind of scary how many raw images I have floating around my poor old dinosaur of a computer. I fear greatly the day I put in one photo too many and the poor girl crashes forever. We've already had a few scares!
Anyway, feedback is always welcome, I love me some comments... keeps me going! :)

This was directly outside my livingroom window last spring... they were loud but so incredibly cute! The momma bird kept coming by and feeding them, until one day, they were gone!

This was just plain creepy. Found while hiking.

Taken in the winter, at a dog park in NY. Gorgeous winter berry vines and a gray sky!

Taken in VT, at a beautiful river that dries up every summer, leaving beautiful scenery, fresh water pools that the local children love to play in, and very lush greenery. Only part that wasn't beautiful - I am almost positive I found a dead body in a very deep pool... I ran away because it smelled so bad I couldn't handle it!! I'm still hoping it was just a dead moose....

Au Natural - and a Garden Frog.

A few photos I took during the summer months - each nature photo has not been retouched at all, except for some creative cropping and a border for aesthetic pleasure ;). Pure camera, imperfections and all! .....'cept for the garden frog.

BUGS!

It was past sunset - so lucky to have caught this shot in the dark :)

Talk about a trooper - I saw this guy dragging the cricket across my kitchen and didn't have the heart to kill him, so I scooped him and his cricket up and walked them outside!

Its as if someone laid the butterfly wings out - absolutely beautiful.

Black-eyed Susan, a whole field of 'em!

Another low-light situation. If only the fantastic pink and orange hues in the sunset translated through the open shutter!

.........and the garden frog.

Something Different

With these shots, I was trying to break out of the usual "photographer" mode with different styles. I am pleased with them, but would love some feedback on what you think!

A wall tile that I found beautiful. Shot during the night with only the garden lighting around me. Taking photos of art is difficult, especially with limited lighting. I think the lomo look gives it the perfect effect to convey this photo.

The object was not in motion, but instead of taking the usual wildlife photo, I decided to focus on the textured wall, leaving the lizard as the background instead. Outside of the box or kind of pointless? Hmmm.

Ceiling light in an art museum. I literally laid myself out on the floor while taking this shot while people walked around me. It was odd, some people didn't even seem to notice or care at all. Like this was a normal thing to do....? I am most fond of the shadows the lights gave off on the ceiling - I lined up my shot as to make symmetry with those shadows.

Inside of a church, lit very dimly, was a glass cross that the priest made. He is a glass blower on his free time and sells this to make money for the church. I was more impressed with the incredible shadow then the work itself.
