Thaw

Everything is finally thawing out around here. Now that the 4+ feet of snow has finally gone away, you find some pretty interesting things buried underneath. While visiting home, I stopped at my favorite field to pick pumpkins in the fall. Guess the snow got them before they could clean & prepare the field before the winter came. I decided to experiment with settings for these photos, and gave them a dismal treatment since it was so cloudy. Oddly enough, by the time we left, the sun came out and there was a beee-autiful sunset! I did take photos of it but its on my other memory card. Maybe I'll post them later :)

Angryfroggyface

Moving has taken a lot out of me the last few months. I've been working, coming home, cleaning stuff, moving things around, shopping for things we forgot we needed, and generally organizing this new life. Its wonderful, but my oh my does that leave NO time for photos! So I need to compensate by taking pictures of all the new little nooks and crannies of my lovely little apartment :)

We'll start with with Angryfroggyface. Yes, that is his name. I've had him for a year now, and the first thing he did when I got him was to kill the other frog. Lovely, right? He would steal his food and my poor little Bubbles died of starvation... it was just awful. I was mad at him for the first few months after my first froggy died, and that's how the name Angryfroggyface was born. I still harbor some hard feelings towards the little guy, but when he humps the bamboo in his tank (as pictured) or tries to attack the goldfish through the glass or slams head first into his rock when trying to unnecessarily-aggressively eat his food.... I just have to laugh. As much of a jerk as he is, he does bring me many smiles!
