Amazing RT Hike

Probably one of the most fun hikes I've been on in ages. Between the amazing company of one of my best friends and the amount of nature we experienced, this whole day was one I never want to forget!

Here's a list of what happened:
• Cemetery in the woods
• Gorgeous spring flowers all over
• Pond full of every creature you could image
• Catching a giant bullfrog
• Catching a newt
• Seeing a big snake eat a giant bullfrog
• Seeing a skink for the first time in the wild running up a tree
• Butterflies EVERYWHERE!
• Incredible view
• No poison ivy or sunburn (that's a first!)

Finally, a recent photo! Taken while visiting the place I've had some of my most fun times as a young adult. The first time I visited here was years ago - I was probably a teenager - with my best friend from childhood. He heard about this ghost town in a state park and we went to visit it. He was SO excited, it was hard not catch on! I've visited this place several times since, but this has always been my favorite part of the town. And every time I pass through it, I think of my my best friend, and some of the crazy adventures we had growing up! Good times <3

Beautiful scenery on a crisp fall day. My view of the east and the west of this perfectly amazing place. If I could live here, I would! Its got everything I'd ever want or need on a few acres of land. My Heaven <3

Fun Finds in Suburbia

When you think about hiking, you don't think about walking through average suburban neighborhoods, do you? Well, my hiking group begs to differ! We always spend time in the woods, but if we need to cross through areas like this to get to a trail less traveled, it happens. This is my favorite find of the day on a 9 mile hike!

Thinking About the Fall :)

A few photos I took last fall before the leaves started to turn. I really love fall, I would say its one of my favorite seasons but I could say that about any of the seasons depending on the context... Fall is the most beautiful, smells the nicest, and has the most comfortable weather. And PUMPKINS!!!

The "Not-So-Winter" Winter

We may have only had a total of 1 snowfall this winter, but it has its upsides. Like the season not being so dull and dead looking. Beautiful green vines creeping up a fence amongst the dead leaves and weeds. Perfection.

Just one more before I go to sleep and dream of being on a beach somewhere far, far away. Like Key West! What a great trip that was :)
