Day 12 - Bittersweet
Hiked a bit today, and stumbled upon a place I've been once before on a mountain in the middle of the forest. Except this time, everything had changed. It was great to see such a tremendous clean-up, but very sad to see an entire lifetime of collecting gone & forgotten. Out of all the shots I took today, I chose this one because it shows that there was once life in this place... even if it was the life of a crazy mountain man.

This is a beautiful picture and, at least for me, really makes me want to know what has happened since February 5th, 1986 to have had this newspaper thrown away with time. ...if that makes any sense. Its late.
ReplyDeleteit makes enough sense for me to catch the gist of what you're sayin... haha. and it definitely wasn't thrown away. this was at the home of a hoarder who lived alone on a mountain. there was a tremendous amount of junk. he was sort of a local legend :)
