Day 36 - Tennis, Anyone?

Tennis courts, in my opinion, are only good for two things.
Rollerskating, and textures. Here's the latter!

Day 35 - Twists & Turns

There's nothing more beautiful than mother nature taking back what's always been hers.

Day 34 - Wash Your Hands, Dude!

Dirty little kitty feet.

Day 33 - Oh Deer!

What kind of weird deer walks UP to the camera instead of running away?? I actually started getting a little scared, haha!
Either way, I like this pretty little fawn. She gave me a cute pose under an apple tree :)

Day 32 - Freakin' EWWW

If you had any idea how hard it was to get this shot and how close to tears I was...
*shudders*
If you REALLY want to, you can click to zoom... ickkkkk!

Day 31 - Birds of a Feather

I've been falling behind terribly on my photos... sorry. This fall is crazy busy, but after the holidays I'll be back on track... hopefully!

So anyway, here's a seagull feather. Freshly plucked for your viewing pleasure! (totally kidding)

Day 30 - Totally Unimpressive

This photo is totally a snapshot, I know. But there's a reason for this monstrosity.
August 22nd I got my first pumpkin of the year. SCORE! For anyone who knows me, I have a strange obsession with pumpkins (the next few months are going to have loads of random pumpkin shots!). In this photo is two generations of beautiful pumpkins - my big orange pumpkin, the first of many more coming this fall (I already have another... ha), and my little pumpkin that I so lovingly call my little zombie from Fall 2009. I can't remember what species he is, but I was told that the bigger ones make the best pumpkin pie. Little zombie really is a zombie, too. You just can't kill him! He's been sitting on my fireplace since last fall and still lookin' ugly. I love him and I hope he lives through this season too!!

Day 29 - Berry Colorful

I have no idea what these plants are, why their leaves and berries are so bright and beautiful, and what possessed me to photograph them near dark while it was raining. Poor camera. Glad you survived!

Day 28 - Swimming in the Rain!

Every time it rains, the cling-on fishy on my windshield gets to go for a swim.

Day 23 - 27: Welcome to New England

Day 23:
We felt every minute of every hour driving up north. Thank goodness it was gorgeous outside.

Day 24:
Abandoned train yard. So scenic... and a little dirty.

Day 25:
I can't believe I caught this on camera - its a little blurry and very grainy, but oh my goodness, LIGHTNING. I pulled over on the side of the highway to take pictures of the looming clouds, and wow! Check out the reflection on the car, too. This was about 2 minutes before the torrential downpour that left us parked under a tree waiting for visibility.

Day 26:
Found this little guy hiding under a rock at the bottom of a gorgeous waterfall & glacial rock playground!

Day 27:
My last day up north. Decided to visit the real mountain folk... this was someone's entire garage. Wicked!

Day 22 - Vacation Numero Uno!

I'm going on vacation tomorrow, which means my blog is going to be neglected again for a bit. Sorry if I have any followers out there... I'll be back next Monday and will hopefully have some gorgeous pictures from the lovely state of Vermont!

Due to packing/shopping/working, I'm leaving you with another blast from the past. Hopefully it'll be the last one for awhile! I get to relax and take photos of a beautiful state the next few days... so excited. This photo is from my last Vermont trip!

Day 21 - Just Peachy!

I was about to take a bite... but the condensation settled so nicely after being removed from the fridge, that I just HAD to photograph it! It was so yummy, too.

Creepy B&W Set, Day 20

A huge lapse in posting, I know.
Unfortunately, blog spot only lets me post one picture per entry... so entry overload begins on Day 15, and ends on this post, Day 20.

I have been taking photos each day, but they represented the day I was in, and now, that day has passed and the photos are meaningless. So again, I'm postingt some past favorites. Its a very gray, dismal day outside right now, so I've used this day as inspiration, and posted some black and whites, starting on Day 15. Creepy black and whites. Go back a few entries, and enjoy ;)

Day 14 - Falling Behind

This daily task is getting to be harder than I thought! I'm having trouble catching up. Today, I am posting for yesterday. Later on today, I hope to be posting for today... if that makes sense, haha.

Since I am falling behind so badly, I figured now would be a good time to post another old favorite. This subject of photography is my favorite. Beauty in the Breakdown. It feels like I'm reliving a past life. If a picture really could speak, these would have lifetimes of stories. This was actually found in a prison cell - or what was left of one - deep in a rough city, far from home, and by accident. Absolute beauty.

Day 13 - Kill'em with Cuteness!

Spent the day at a friend's house and had a great time!
I ended up having so much fun, that I forgot to bring my camera around - which was probably a good thing considering I got sneezed on by a horse so badly that his snot was dripping down my legs. YUM.
But enough of that... back to the cuteness!!

Day 12 - Bittersweet

Hiked a bit today, and stumbled upon a place I've been once before on a mountain in the middle of the forest. Except this time, everything had changed. It was great to see such a tremendous clean-up, but very sad to see an entire lifetime of collecting gone & forgotten. Out of all the shots I took today, I chose this one because it shows that there was once life in this place... even if it was the life of a crazy mountain man.

Day 11 - You're Doing It Wrong!

Upon walking out to my car yesterday (I'm a day late again sorry!), I saw a branch with a bunch of seeds sitting on my porch. I'm pretty sure those are the cool seeds that spin as they fall off the tree and hit the ground - they are fun to watch, I called them "helicopters" as a kid. After the photo, I picked them off one by one and tossed them off the side of my porch and watched them spin to the ground, the way nature intended.

Day 10 - Strange Findings

Sometimes, you find the weirdest, coolest things in your normal, everyday places.
I absolutely love my job sometimes.

Day 9 - Obnoxiously Loud Noises

This isn't exactly MY photo... but I had to put all the settings into my camera for someone else to take the photo for me! Does that count?

Anyway... my dad told me it was safe to catch these guys, and I trusted his word, so I did! And I totally fell in love. SO CUTE!! I didn't want to put him down but it was after midnight and I needed sleep. Do you know if you pick him up and poke his belly, he shrieks that crazy loud cicada noise?!?! LOVE IT!!! My new favorite bug <3

Day 8 - Getting Kicked Out!!

So much printing... and so much toner!

And so very pretty :)

Day 7 - Late again!

I'm about to get kicked out of the office so yesterday & today's photos get very little introduction/back story!

Stopped in a field at 7am to catch the beginnings of fall - Pumpkin Flower!

Day 6 - No Shit, Sherlock.

Sorry about my lateness in posting... horrible procrastination habits mixed with a knack to forget something even though there's a reminder on your calendar plagues my daily life!

As for the photo... its worth a thousand words. And giggles.

At least the beautiful state of NY understands that if you don't put up a sign, people will still try. Then sue.
